The Lunch Magnet

Lunch happens in its own time, in its own way, and then it is gone. And in that moment, there is the magnet.

The magnet does not prepare your lunch. It does not remind you to eat. It does not stick to anything that is not metal. And yet, it is there.

Ingredients:

  • Your lunch (you already know what it is)

  • A container (if necessary)

  • A utensil (optional)

  • A lunch magnet (essential)

Instructions:

  1. Find the lunch magnet. It has been there all along. It is exactly where you left it. Unless you did not leave it there. Unless someone else moved it.

  2. Acknowledge the lunch magnet. You do not need to touch it. But you must be aware of it.

  3. Prepare the lunch. If there is slicing, slice. If there is heating, heat. If there is unwrapping, unwrap. The magnet does not assist. It does not interfere either.

  4. Eat. The magnet will be there.

What Remains

Lunch is over. You are full. You look at the magnet one last time. It has done exactly what it needed to do.
