Instructions:

  2. Chop carefully. Precisely. No jagged edges. No uneven pieces. Do not let the knife slip. Do not let the mind slip. Do not think about outside. Do not think about before.

  3. Heat the water. Bring it to a simmer.

  4. Add the vegetables. One at a time. Not all at once. They sink into the water in the order they are given.
